I'm lacking in the gluten/dairy/citric acid/chocolate area, and it's mighty tasty. Hear all about my adventures while living a healthy allergen free life. |
GF Raspberry Ale:
So far I think cider is the way to go when it comes to drinking gluten free. The gf beers I’ve tried are always just, well, gross.
Have you had better luck?
Gf/Df Mac n’ Cheese:
Visited Portland couple of days ago and found so much delicious gf/df foods! These little gem was at Vita Cafe.
Thinking about it now I should have asked what kind of cheese they used. It was more runny than chunky like my homemade version. Any thoughts?
I stumbled upon this website looking for gluten free recipes. This woman, turned concerned mother, turned gluten free enthusiast lays out an awesome 2 week menu of how to get Gluten and Dairy free. I think that it is a great challenge for any one that has ANY stomach issues. Psst… this is the easy way out, she does all the planning and guess work for you!! Try it out, I would love to hear how you feel and how you do :)

So here’s the deal. I have been pretty good at staying away from the things I’m allergic/intolerant to ..well with the exception of tomatoes.. that one is really hard. The problem is that my tummy is still mad at me for a large chunk of time SO my plan is to go back to the basics. NO eating out, NO mixes, NO boxed anything, and limit the processed foods. You may be thinking, what the hell are you going to eat you crazy woman?!??! WELL, I am going to eat meat, veggies, fruits, rice, corn, quinoa in a mix and match fashion.
Fresh fruits & veggies, organic meats, healthy healthy healthy, here goes nothin.
